The Hating Game by Sally Thorne
2.0
I want to preface with the fact that I for one LOVE enemies to lovers books. This however? It was alright.
While the book consisted of many cute and funny banter moments between a Mr. Joshua and Ms. Lucy, I couldn't help but find it a little bothersome how the author had to continuously mention how "small" and "petite" Lucy is. We get it!! She's short! The book also tends to hit parts where it's super slow and nothing is truly happening to keep the reader engaged, so I found myself struggling with this book for months (which is long compared to my usual turnaround time).
On a more positive note, I will say that this book definitely had enemies to lovers moments that made me squeal! The development and unveiling of the character's emotions makes this book so worth it!
I know this isn't one of my more in depth reviews, but I am making this months late so I'm going based on memory. I would also however, not read this again and whatever you do: DONT WATCH THE MOVIE!!
