I only picked this up for book club and while I was trying to enjoy it like a messy trainwreck, it got to be too much. This book is a product of its era - early 2000s Sex & the City paired with Legally Blonde (but make it terrible). The fat shaming, "not like other girls", bitchy as hell best friends who actually hate each other, and other internalized misogyny just ain't it for me
