First reread of this. Narration was by the same duo as book 1, but overall bothered me less in this one. More misogyny than I remember. I knew this wasn't my favorite of this series and I wasn't wrong, but I enjoyed more than I thought. The ending, especially with Becks' dad, works out a little too well -- I don't love the concept of making an asshole parent suddenly "better" because they were trying to "protect" their kids from the injustices of the world (misogyny, homophobia), while perpetuating the same ideas on their kids. Rings hollow.
