Well what the hell was that (in a positive way)?! I really adored the first two stories and also the concept of this book. I enjoy thinking about alternate realities and I think this got to that, exploring two people across so many different kinds of relationships. In that way, these stories were able to dissect power, desire, anxiety and how those things show up in queer relationships. I loved the cannibalism as metaphor for queerness (and also cause it was just really gross and fun). I was less into the later stories, particularly the last one, I didn’t feel clever enough to “get it.” On the whole though, I loved the writing style and how bonkers it was, a really fun reading experience.
