Breach of Peace by Daniel B. Greene

4.0

This is a great start to an intriguing series that Daniel has planned. The novella is set in a dark world where the God coexists with and oversee the humans. We get a glimpse of the larger world building and magic systems that Daniel introduced in his YT videos, and I'm excited to peel back those layers in the next books of the series.

The characters, especially Khlid's analytical mindset and Chapman's banter, kept the scenes alive and interesting till the end, although I wish we delved a little deeper into their headspace.

The ending itself threw me in for a loop, and I definitely now have the itch to pick up the sequel. Overall, a very promising debut from the goblin!
