This book is a perfect entry for those who are just dipping their toes into the dark romance or mafia world. It is a lighter mafia/dark romance, with arranged marriage, enemies to lovers and I guess we can say he kidnaps her and whisks her away on a private jet to a different country.

I loved Odin and Etta. I loved how strong and sassy our FMC Etta was. She didn’t back down from Odin at all and fought him every step of the way while also falling for him.

Odin who was once married and witnessed the unimaginable doesn’t want to ever get married again but has a family contract/obligation to keep with and that is where is marriage to Etta comes into play while also kidnapping her and whisking her away to another country.

These two fought their feelings for each other from the beginning. While fighting their feelings Odin still had the strong urge to protect Etta and keep her safe from his/their enemies. Etta fell for Odin despite her reservations. She was always there for him and understood his past and about his previous wife and what he went through.

I am not going to forget to mention the bodyguards Dom and Ford! I absolutely loved them and then to find out they were a married couple was everything! I loved their relationship with Etta from the beginning. They were like the protective brothers to her that she didn’t have.

So if you are looking for what I mentioned above and then add in that it is a slow burn but the spice is spicing this is a book you should add to your tbr!
