I read this over the course of a weekend and devoured it. A perfect mix of thriller and family drama, set in the Australian Outback. The build is deliberate in the first 100 pages, introducing characters and helping entrench you in the Outback. Then, it starts to pick up speed as the threads unfurl. This is one of my favorite types of suspense novel- well constructed characters with an intriguing storyline that keeps you interested in both the who-done-it and also the lives of the characters.
