I am so glad and so excited to be back into this world! Cora Reilly has a talent for mafia romance and this book did not disappoint! 
Marcella and Maddox are the first couple in the second generation series (which I'm predicting will be a big one because so far we have 14-ish kids…?) and they do one hell of a job at setting the tone! their romance was explosive and dynamic and I loved it so much! it's divided into two parts (not sure why) and this first one was just an introduction to what's to come. 
he kidnaps her as part of a revenge plot against her father but ends up caring for her and trying his best to keep her safe from those he calls family. it brings up very interesting discussions about family and love and loyalties. the romance is very dynamic and explosive. the author has a way with words when it comes to the relationships between characters and conveying their feelings… really love it. 
there isn't much to say about this one <3 I really enjoyed it and it was very, very entertaining! they aren't my favorite couple but they are pretty hot!
