Reluctantly You by Cora Rose
4.0
- boss x employee
- enemies to lovers
- hurt x comfort
- degradation + praise kink
Mitch's life has pretty much imploded. His father isn't really his father, the hateful jerk sold their family's company without telling him, and his siblings have cut him out of their lives because of how much of a douchebag he is. He has nothing and no one. Rock meet bottom.
Enter Gideon, his new boss, who takes no crap from him. He's just what Mitch needs though, even if he doesn't realize it at the time.
I'll be honest, I wasn't sure if Mitch was ever going to be a redeemable character, or if he even deserved to be. In previous books he was absolutely abhorrent, just so cruel and full of hate, but I'm glad to say I was wrong.
His story was a rough one, and put me through the freaking wringer, but I am so happy with how Cora ended this for Mitch and Gideon, along with his family.
