"Her fate is inked in her blood. It's carved in her bones. This power is Freya's destiny."
This book satiated my need for a Norse story, however, now I am in desperate need for book 2!!! π©
There was so much fuss over this book and I had only added it to my tbr because it was pretty and I liked the title. It wasn't until I was complaining about wanting to read a Norse/viking book that it was brought to my attention that this was what I'd been looking for and it did NOT disappoint.
I love it for the fighting, the romance, the magic, and the lore! It filled all the holes I had for what I wanted to read next. The characters felt predictable, but then it turned out they weren't, at all! The plot twists were π€. Hopefully I don't have to wait long for book 2's arrival! I give πππ for romance and πΆοΈ for spice.
