world building and character development go crazy in this one. its slow, but i think the building up deserved its ending. im a lifelong gale anti but i really appreciated the complexity of his and katniss’ relationship this time around. also loved the johanna & katniss bonding moments and the prep team. between the political intrigue, there’s lots of levity and humanity in this that i definitely missed out on when i first read this at 11.
