Overall series review:

A great variety of believable characters; interesting, delicately interwoven plots; and an imaginative, extensively built world make this one of my favourite series of books. I must admit I questioned the inclusion of the Blue Owls but I loved how it was handled and how their background was handled. I was sad about the ending but at the same time it felt right, like a full circle.
