update 4/11/2016 every time I think about Boxer's face looking out the window of that cart, I burst into tears. My husband says its because the book is an allegory and I care about people. I say its because Boxer was a good horse, a real horse. I am utterly ridiculous.

My husband and I have been talking about this book for hours. I'm mad; he's hopeful.
