Well this took me on a rollercoaster ride and I have whiplash now from all the events happening in this book.

Lola King does not write men who grovel. No she writes men who are obsessed and manipulative and I am 100% on board for all of that. I absolutely devoured Chris and Ella’s story. It was everything you want in a Dark Academia romance.

Chris is unhinged; he is so obsessed with Ella he won’t let anything or anyone stop him from getting her. Let me tell you the lengths this man goes through to make sure Ella is his is top tier unhinged and again I fricken ate it up!

Ella…oh this girl has been through it. She is the Queen Bee of the school but Ella holds so many secrets inside and with those secrets Ella is hurting. Ella has only ever wanted to be loved in an all consuming way which makes her and Chris absolutely perfect for each other no matter how questionable and unhinged their relationship is.

I really loved how this story ended. While there is no groveling and let’s be honest Chris doesn’t truly let her go I really did enjoy how it was up to Ella how to move their relationship forward.

I loved all the Greek mythology references in this book and can not wait to see what more Hermes has up their sleeve and I really can not wait to get to Achilles story!

Also I will add I loved seeing the cameos from other characters especially Nate and Kayla!!
