I read it after realizing one of the previous books I had read was based on this. This one moved a lot slower and was surprisingly shorter. Nothing of significance happened. The title should've been dead give away that this book was merely introducing the characters. The writing is a little awkward, as if it was translated from another language. But since its set in America, I can't imagine it wasn't written in English. I am intrigued enough to possibly read the second book.
