This.

I’m very close to my grandmother and we were even closer when I was Elsa’s age so this book really got to the deepest corners of my heart if I’m being honest.
I don’t really see why people are upset that there is “too much storytelling inside the story”, because trust me I do too hate books that just keep on telling 1000 stories without getting to the point of the action/book. But this ain’t the case. You wouldn’t be able to fully understant the depth of this book and of the relationships Elsa’s grandmother had with all the people in her life if you wouldn’t know all the stories she based on people’s personalities and experiences.

In my opinion, it’s an outstandig book, written in a style I’ve never came across on until now and I have to say that I really, really like it. This is one of the books I would reread sometime, just for the pleasure of reliving it, and I almost never reread books, so that says a lot.
