Melissa Landers The Half King may be your traditional formulary romantasy with the brooding Prince who disappears when the sun goes down to the high risk epic adventures a group must take to break the royal curse, but I didn't care...I loved it. I was invested in the story, I was invested in the characters even though I felt the worldbuilding could use a little more but then I got to the last 10% of the book and it became a struggle.

This is the first book in the series so there is still time for Melissa Landers to write herself out of the plot holes and shark jumping, but I'm nervous. However it's an RTB book so you know I'll buy it regardless because of the pretty edges.
