The Extraordinaries by TJ Klune
2.75
Just watched Across the Spiderverse so I needed a queer superhero fix.
Usually a fan of TJ Klune's works but this was a bit weaker. Was funny a charming. Wished there were more superhero scenes and more interactions between Nick and the two. Nick was an absolute dumbass and not always in a loveable way, most of the plot hinges on him being an idiot and lacking any critical thinking skills. Most of the teens talked in the same speaking style so it was very hard to distinguish between them while listening to the audiobook. Seth and Owen were far more interesting and engaging than Nick and I often wondered why they were both pining for him of all people.
Not sure if I'll read the others but who knows. Overall a pretty light easy read.
