The story of Max Bhagat and Gina Vitagliano is probably my favorite in the Trouble Shooter series. I think it's because Gina is so strong and knows what she wants, even if it is a man who is twenty-one years her senior. The characters were introduced in the fourth book of the series when Gina was in a hostage situation and Max was the negotiator. Over and above the age gap, Max listened and watched as Gina was horribly beaten and raped. They have seen each other since then, most notably a stretch while Max was in the hospital. However, Max just couldn't get over the fact that everyone thinks that Gina is his daughter.
So, Gina decided to get over her broken heart and volunteer in Kenya. That's where she crosses paths with Molly Anderson who was introduced in book three. Molly's ex-lover Grady Morant has shown up in the camp. He was an American soldier turned baddie who was redeemed by Molly's love. Or something along those lines.
Anyway, it's just a wonderful mesh of so many of the Troubleshooter's overlapping storylines and I love the way they all work out. Must re-read this book again soon.
