Will by Kerry Kilpatrick

2.5

If I'm not mistaken, this book was a debut for this author, and I think as a first, it was pretty good. There were a lot of elements that I liked in this book, but for me, it fell a little short of it's potential. I liked the subplot of the mystery burglaries, and how they added a little drama and some ultimately harmless injury, but until the very end scene of catching them, the drama felt a little stilted. A lot of this book had all of the right plot points, but they just weren't written in a way that made you feel more connected to the characters, so I had a hard time really feeling any of the chemistry between Will and Beckett. I did really like how his cousins supported Beckett at the end, and how Will was always in his corner.
