The Shattered Ceiling: Narratives of pioneering women by Geet Mala Jalota, Geet Mala Jalota

4.0

The Shattered Ceiling written by Geet Mala Jalota comes under the non-fiction genre and is a collection of ten interviews of women belonging to different Indian industries. Interviews were taken by the Author herself, After each interview, the Author wrote her take on the respective interview.

Through these interviews, Women shared their corporate journies, leadership stories and how they survived, not only survived but excelled in a patriarchal society. Their important and valuable take on society, career, and marriage is going to help the readers especially female readers. I liked how the author put her guests at ease before asking them about their personal and professional lives.

I am a reader who loves to read non-fiction a lot and that’s the only reason I started reading this one to my surprise, I didn’t find it very interesting, of course, I liked reading it but it's not what I expected it to be.

somehow, I felt that this book wasn't meant for me but you can give this book a try maybe you find it helpful and if you’re someone who wants to read about the achievements of women in our society then you will love this book.

My Rating: 3.7⭐️
