I was so excited to get an advanced copy to dive into Emilee and Roman’s final story! I’m happy to say the snark was still in full force and the chaos Emilee brought in “How to Lose a Psycho” continued in “Toxic Things I Love About You”.

The story picks off exactly where “How to Lose a Psycho” ended with an awkward dinner interruption and possibly an even more awkward question given the situation. Emilee as always takes everything in stride, though acting too rash perhaps in her answer.

As the story continues we learn more about The Lords, Roman’s little brother, Dorian or “Small Hands” as Emilee not so affectionately calls him, and an even more twisted plot with a mystery family member coming out of the woodwork.

As we’ve grown to love, Emilee, of course acts too rash in trying to prove herself as more than just a pawn getting herself into a sticky situation. However, her two saviors, Roman and Parks, are hot on her tail to help her escape - but, do they make it in time? Does Emilee finally bear the consequences of her rash actions? Great questions, give it a read to find out ;)

One thing I’ve grown to really enjoy about Chelle’s writing in particular is her way with words. She writes some really hot spice scenes (they could go longer, just saying Chelle haha) and the vocabulary she uses changes. I tend to read a fair amount of smut and you can only read “he thrust into her core” so many times, especially in the same scenes for it to lose its effect. Chelle does a great job of mixing it up so the spice isn’t repetitive. Let me assure you the spicy scenes between Emilee and her “Romy Poo” are great in this book and I enjoyed the addition of the bratty consequences in this book as well!

Thank you to Chelle Wolfe and BookSprout for the opportunity to read and review!
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
