Much better than The Mistake let me just say that first.
Issues I had with the book:
1. So sick of this curvy but slim look that every heroine in every one of these books is described as.
2. Even in dialogue, him doesn’t need to be shortened to ‘im.
3. I hate how they had sex as a way to deal with his grief. I get everyone grieves differently but that just seemed cheap to me and even though Dean is a super sex crazed guy I just don’t think it fit.
What I liked:
1. The relationship Allie and Dean developed seemed very genuine.
2. Spicy parts were written very very well and, for the most part, well placed (other than the aforementioned grief part).
3. The progression of their relationship seemed to be on point.
Overall I liked this one better than The Mistake but it wasn’t as good as The Deal. Also I took some flack from my librarian mother for reading a self published book at the beach lol, so there’s that too just a fair warning.
