The Mist by Stephen King
4.0
Although this Stephen King’s novel was dry, I enjoyed it. There was a point in the novel, where we learned more about the mist that the novel becomes more of a page turner. King, undoubtedly one of the best if not the best, captures the fear and the craziness of being trapped. I felt the anxiety that the protagonist, David, felt by wanting to protect his son and get home. Two of the most human feelings against something that’s supernatural and unreal. King keeps layering mystery upon mystery.
I recommend reading this book if you like a good fright. If you are hesitant reading this type of genre, have your mind paint less gruesome images (something that I used when reading this genre although sometimes I find historical fiction more frightening ). If you want to more of the terrifying experience, try reading it in a snow storm or any type of storm where everything is closed like I did. If I get stuck anywhere, I hope I get stuck at Wegams.
