This is my first time reading this book. And although I knew how it ended, because of a deep dive, I did on the shadow hunter wiki a few years ago it was utterly beautiful. I don’t think I have ever cried this much reading a book. To be honest after reading the first two books, I didn’t understand why people liked Will so much, but now I completely get it. There was one thing that threw me off the scene where Mortmain demanded to know where Tessa was, reminded me very much of when Voldemort demanded the others bring Harry to him. I had to stop for a second, and remind myself that I was not reading a Harry Potter fanfiction that replaced wizards with Nephilim
