I love the single mom/surprise child trope. I also love this family and fictional town so I was very excited to read Wyla and Jett’s story.

We got a glimpse into the surprise with Wyla at the end of the second book so I was ready for her story and it didn’t disappoint and was super cute!

Wyla is a fantastic mom. I loved her relationship and parenting with her daughter Stevie. I of course also love her relationship with her sisters. It was hard to read some of her inner dialogue of her blaming herself for a lot of things and taking everything on herself. I wanted to reach in and hug her while also wanting to shake her (especially when Jett came back into the picture).

Jett. Oh this man had it down bad for the girl he met in Nashville and had a memorable night with. He spent years looking for her. He has a chance encounter with Wyla again when he shows up to her (his) daughter's birthday with his sister. Jett of course wants to be in his daughter's life but will also show Wyla that she is no longer alone and wants to be more than just friends.

These two had instant chemistry. I loved the moments Jett just showed her who he was and wasn’t willing to let her do anything alone anymore. I also loved how Jett read Wyla like an open book and called her out on her inner thoughts. I wanted to shake Wyla a few times over those thoughts but also understood her inner battle and feelings. I loved how Jett always stayed true to his word and even during the difficult conversations he was always honest with Wyla and didn’t hide or deny things. I am also going to mention the doordash scene because that was everything and enough for me to fall in love with this fictional man. We can’t forget Stevie. I loved that spunky 4 year old and how she just wormed her way into everyone's hearts.

I can’t wait to read more from Mollie. Her books always hit the mark. Thank you Mollie for the arc of this book.
