hello hi I think I’ve found my favorite read this year so far!!!!! 🥹🥹
this story made me feel all of the emotions, just as I was hoping it would! it was just as messy and broken yet hopeful and romantic as expected, and I loved every moment of it!
yasmen and josiah made me tear up every other chapter, and the author did a fabulous job making them human and realistic! from learning the different ways to grieve, to experiencing true loss, to making hard decisions to love yourself first, these storylines project the concept that no one is truly alone ❤️
while I don’t agree with every decision that the couple makes, I think their love, romantic or not, runs so deep in their veins that it outlasts their own emotions!! the fact that they were able to put their own emotions aside so they could take care of their kids and continue their business?? amazing 11/10
the author’s writing style is so beautiful that I barely felt like I was reading a 370 page book! I never wanted to put it down 🥹🫶🏼
I beg everyone to read this book - and to read black authors not just in february but EVERY MONTH!
rating: 5 stars
wine pairing: riberio del duero tempranillo
