Batman: Resurrection by John Jackson Miller
4.0
Anyone who has known me for any number of years knows the absolute death grip Tim Burton’s Batman films had on me as a child, and how much they’ve continued to capture my imagination in the intervening years. This book was nothing short of a love letter to those films, particularly the first one, and was an absolute romp of a good time! The connective tissue that bridged ‘89 with Returns was brilliant, seeing Clayface join the Burtonverse was amazing, and my GOD, the Easter eggs in this! I have those movies memorized, and so I caught SO many references! Hats off to this author. This is the most fun book I’ve read this year, probably. And what a nod to my childhood and to an IP that I adore!
