Suspenseful, strange, and full of sensory details. It’s also the perfect about of creepy. Like any good psychological thriller, you’re questioning the information, the narrator, and yourself the whole book. I really enjoyed the makeup of the story—the first person POV, and the bits breaking up the chapters. The tension build is paced well after about 15% in, and while I understand why that first part was necessary, I was kind of hoping for a bit more connection to the overall themes and conclusion.

The audiobook takes this book to a different level too, with the way it’s read and produced.
