Does It Hurt? by H.D. Carlton
4.0
➸ 4/5 stars!
Well this was totally hectic but I had fun. This book is the literal definition of dark romance meets thriller and fall in love and have a baby. I loved Sawyer’s banter – the crazy and outlandish things she said I would totally say in my everyday conversations.
I was hooked before the events of chapter 7 but I was definitely hooked even more after reading it. Enzo was unhinged but he’s still a little teddy bear! AND LET ME SAY I WAS RIGHT ABOUT THE LIGHTHOUSE – I mean it wasn’t that hard to tell but – anyways. Also I hate Sawyer’s brother and that wacky fake pirate.
“The day you stole from me was the best day of my life,” he whispers against my lips. “Because then you became my life, and I don’t want it back. I won’t fucking take it.”

“This won’t be the first time I’ve had to pretend to be someone I’m not. But this just might be the last.”

“Lying was never the worst of my sins, just the first of them.”
