A Summer in Miami: A Standalone Novel by C. Wilson
hopeful
sad
3.5
Summer continued fulfilling her duties as a successful magazine owner and selfless friend while slowly falling for the standup D-boy (Bentley) she met on her last ever girls trip. This didn’t pull on my heart strings the way I thought it would, because I didn’t understand her motivations for trying to keep up the status quo. Their connection was the highlight, and the drama with his ex added some razzle dazzle. The ending was creative but didn’t land for me. However, I see how this could be a tearjerker for someone else.
Graphic: Terminal illness and Grief
Moderate: Cancer, Death, and Vomit
Minor: Drug use, Infidelity, Sexual content, Excrement, Abortion, and Pregnancy
