I started out reading this one and then eventually switched to audio book and today decided to not finish it. 
I made it about 20 pages in and was already feeling weird about the age gap between the main character and his lust interest and debated if I was going to enjoy the book or not. I was lost interest pretty quickly due to lack of dialogue between any of the characters. The dynamic between Elio and Oliver just made me feel uncomfortable through the entirety of what I read and the more explicit scenes I found to just be odd, I decided to call it quits after Elio had relations with a fruit and then made a pretty cruel comparison. 
I’m pretty disappointed because the book and the movie had a lot of hype and I was looking forward to both of them, but this book was just not for me. 🤷🏼‍♀️
