The Hope We Hold: Finding Peace in the Promises of God by Jinger Vuolo, Jeremy Vuolo

hopeful inspiring reflective fast-paced

Hopeful. Engaging. Honest.

I have followed the Duggars since I was in high school. I met them at Focus on the Family and even can be seen in the background of one of the episodes. My party trick is naming all 19 Duggar kids in order. I've navigated some similar faith, hope, and life things as Jinger and Jeremy shared in this book and felt encouraged by the constant thread of hope woven through their lives and the honest seeking of the Lord in what seems to be in and out of the spotlight. I feel like I've grown with the older Duggar girls (I fit between Jill and Jana in age) and I really enjoyed reading the Vuolo's story and counting God's faithfulness with them.

I blitzed through this one so fast.

This may be the cheesiest book I could admit to loving, but here it is.

2 underlinings:
"My go with the flow tendencies demonstrated themself as maturity." - underlined because that description nailed something I've seen in so many college students and kids viewed as mature

"In love with Christ, with a visible passion, humble, meek, willing to forsake all to follow wherever You lead us, not consumed with money and comfort, a war-time mentality, a servant, strong in faith, walks consistently by faith, lover of children, physically attractive to me, disciplined, healthy lifestyle, acquainted with the type of Christianity I'm striving to live." - underlined because that's such a beautiful prayer to ask the Lord for in a partner and I should seek such things
