This book fucked me up so much. I finished reading it over a week ago, and I still find myself thinking about it. Most of these people, the women especially, have been so thoroughly brainwashed, it's unbelievable. How they teach the handmaids to think is so disgusting, and it fits in so perfectly well with this new society. I was so disturbed while reading this, but not in a way that made me hate it. It made me think so much about our own society and it honestly kind of terrified me. Some people really do think like the people in this book do.

I can see why the ending would make people dislike the book since it's so abrupt, but I really enjoyed it. The notes section after answered some questions, but gave me so many more. I have so many theories about everything! I really want to watch the show now, and see how they interpreted everything.
