This one didn’t do it for me. It’s a shame because I remember ferociously reading The Silent Patient because I was so engrossed and needed to know what happened, but this one I sped through because I wanted to be able to move on to another book. Elliot is an incredibly annoying narrator, and there is weirdly no sense of suspense. I felt jolted out of the narrative several times and was not very invested in the other timelines, and the atmosphere of the island was not taken advantage of nearly enough. Unfortunately there was nothing memorable about this one.
