Darius the Great Deserves Better by Adib Khorram

5.0

I was worried that I wouldn't like this book as well as the first in the series, since one of the things I loved about the first one was the setting--Iran. But I actually liked this one more. Darius is so likeable and easy to root for, and I think the writing in this second book is a little more developed. And the Persian influence was still in the book, just not in the actual country of Iran. I also liked the way the issue of consent was dealt with--it's not so easy when you take it out of a self-help book and apply it to real life, and I think Khorram did a great job addressing it.
