The Scottish Prisoner by Diana Gabaldon

4.25

This was my favorite so far for LJG. The premise behind the trip to Ireland felt a bit flimsy for me but perhaps I missed something. I did enjoy getting to see more of Jamie’s perspective at this time in his life. The main series, from my memory, made them out to be easier friends after Jaime was sent to Helwater, so it was jarring almost how much weirdness there was between them (although again maybe that’s just my memory). But I think that made for great relationship and trust development between them in this story.
