This thriller made me happy. I feel funny saying that but it really did give me the warm and fuzzies! I tend to think of thrillers as pretty average, even when they are good, they are nothing to write home about. This is mostly because I tend to prefer character driven stories, and thrillers are, by nature, plot driven, so I feel like there’s less substance.

I’m rising above my own judgment here because I can’t deny the smile on my face- this one is unique! It was different enough in premise to hook me. I mean the protagonist is a forensic accountant so...nerd alert! Looking for fraud in spreadsheets and balance ledgers...totally here for it. It was a plot driven page turner and although the twists weren’t mind blowing shockers, I did want to keep reading to see what happened next! And I cared about the characters!

Anyway, happy and smiling at the end is worth mentioning and I would totally recommend this to anyone looking for a fast paced, out of the ordinary thriller. Don’t worry, if spreadsheets don’t get you too excited, I promise there’s other stuff in this story that will! Like kickboxing! And theft! And people doing shady things!
