Pack Darling - Part One by Lola Rock
3.0
3.5 - LOVED the omega x omega romance in this. Ever since I started reading aob I have been wanting to read a romance like Lilah’s and Orion’s and I was very satisfied with their relationship development in here.
Lilah was funny, strong, and very easy to root for. Orion was such a sweetheart and his bond to Lilah was so wholesome. It was easy to see why the two were drawn to each other despite them both being omegas
Every other romance I’m pretty iffy on. Finn was probably my favorite of the alpha’s just based on the sheer entertainment value he brought to the book, but he still needs to do major groveling to both Orion and Lilah. And the rest of the alphas… yikes.
Lilah and Orion need to run away together and find a pack that actually deserves them. IDK how part two is going to convince me otherwise.
And the world-building had it’s ups and downs. Lilah’s character did a good job showing what it was like to be an omega in this world, but there are other things left a bit too unexplained. I’m still not 100% sure what the Wyvern’s job is and I felt like the alpha’s relationship with Orion was underdeveloped. I get that their neglect of Orion is apart of the conflict, but it felt so extreme at times. I was left feeling so bad for Orion when we read the other alpha’s chapters and they barely even thought about him. It really made me wonder why the pack took him as their mate if two of them are straight and Orion isn’t even scent-match to them. I get him and Atlas had thing, but they had zero chemistry between them so even that didn’t make sense to me.
BUT I guess some of the alpha’s did have their good moments
