Ghosted by J.M. Darhower
4.0
I felt connected to the characters of Ghosted from the very first page. My heart broke for Kennedy, I adored Maddie, and I grew to trust Jonathan more right along with them. This, my friend, is how second chance romance is done. This trope, along with the accidental pregnancy trope, is admittedly not my favorite, but I thoroughly enjoyed both in this one.
It is important that I say, though, that this book was an exception for me. The content was more than I would normally tolerate and I don’t plan on making those exceptions a habit. The language in Jonathan’s POV was quite heavy and the spice was often and detailed (honestly, even if I didn’t have my own moral and spiritual reasons for not reading spice, I just simply don’t like it. It feels cringy, yucky, and altogether unnecessary).
Oh, and just know that I will never listen to Cardigan by Taylor Swift the same way again. He did indeed come back to her. (iykyk)
4.75 stars.
