A Universe of Wishes by Dhonielle Clayton

5.0

✧ — 5 phenomenal, out of this world, devoted, loving stars.

i don't even know how to communicate how lovely and precious and wonderful this anthology is. i was gutted. i was—i was caring for so many people, i was in love with so many people. it felt like moving moutains, like getting the sea to run with you, like kissing a tiger's teeth.

i have so much to say and nowhere to place it, not even in this tiny body in which i'm typing words. over and over again, my mind just runs over the hills of text. i feel like a big star, the words in this collection is my light and i can never be burnt out. it's so—it's so difficult to articulate but i want to keep this book forever, tuck it into my skin and my gums and my mouth and my chest and my ankles and my feet.

i just have so many feelings, i don't even know when to start. it's like that jane austen quote "if i loved you less, i might be able to talk about it more."

my favorite stories:

* the silk blade
* unmoor
* the beginning of monsters
* habibi

my favorite pages (print edition):

* 41
* 51
* 111
* 273
* 310
* 386-387
* 392-393

this was everything. i looked around and i saw my people, and i was everything too.
