Set the Record Straight by Hannah Bonam-Young

4.0

It was a short read yet an enjoyable one. Very timely as I read this during holiday season. It is cosy and spicy at the same time. Although, I feel like everything happened so fast, and kind of it was written abruptly, I still got the grasp of it and enjoyed every reading moment.

One thing I love about this one (probably my very own opinion) is that there was no redemption arc for Evan's family because its the reality for others. Its like a validation that even if some of us dont get the approval, its okay, we will live and we still get to enjoy life. It shows that not every story is perfect. So if you are into redemption arc or into some reconciliation bs, then i don't think this is for you because you won't find that in this book. I love how the author put so much effort into writing this as acurate and as relatable as possible.

Overall, I really liked this one, makes me feel the holiday season. I just wished to read more from this story, it feels like it ended abruptly and makes me crave for more of Evan and Clara.
