So no lie: when I first started reading this I got vibes of Twilight fan fiction. But along the way I got invested in Jaxon and Grace and the other characters. Crave is more than a vampire romance (although there are some pretty steamy moments between the two). There are other magical beings at the private school (in a castle!!!) and there’s a lot of enmity between them. And someone seems to want Grace dead. But why? Just because she’s falling for a vampire, albeit a sexy, mysterious one? She doesn’t think she’s anything special, so she doesn’t understand. But by the end of the novel, she realizes there’s a reason for everything. Twist ending; cliffhanger. Ready for Book #2, Crush, out in 2021.
