The Romance Line by Lauren Blakely is book two in the of the Love and Hockey series and Lauren Blakely can do no wrong. If you like hockey romance, enemies to lovers, secret dates, grumpy/shine, sexy with lots of spice, forbidden and workplace romances then you will love this book.
Lauren has become one of my favorite authors and I cannot get enough of her books. She did an amazing job with the storyline and plot it keeps you hooked from the very first sentence spoken. Everly is the PR manager of Max’s hockey team, and Max is their goalie. I loved all of the characters in this book, especially his sister. Separate Everly and Max (I love their names so much) have been through a lot in their past that makes it hard to trust people or let them close to anyone. They start off as enemies but it’s not long before the chemistry and sparks start to fly, that they become lovers. Everly and Max have great banter, lots of spicy scenes, and have secret rendezvous. This story however, is more than spice and passion, it’s about heart, friendship, family, community, learning to trust each other, talking about their pasts and letting each other in, which leads to healing. I want to add the Max loves cat and coached kids hockey teams it’s the sweetest thing.
I was given an ALC ARC of this audiobook and I am so thankful I did. Everly was narrated by Vanessa Edwin and Max was narrated by Teddy Hamilton. Valerie did an amazing job with Everly I feel like she embodied her, she was perfect. Teddy is in my top favorite narrators and I will listen to almost anything he does. I feel like he did a great job as Max, he embodied him, and he was perfect for the role. I want to thank Lauren Blakely for letting me listen to this audiobook in exchange for my honest thoughts and opinions. Please go read this series, I’m promise you, you won’t be disappointed.
