Roar of the Dark by Aastha Rathod Naad

2.0

Roar Of The Dark by Aastha Rathod Naad is a contemporary fiction book that mainly depicts the story of four women Meera, Joe, Kalika and Maheen and their beliefs about their bodies. While some think their bodies are nothing but just flesh, some think everything comes with a price tag. However, the story will come to a start when these four women face a reality that will change their lives forever. Why they were so conscious about their body? what was that incident that changed their lives forever? Read the book to find out more.

I received the book a week ago, and after reading the blurb, I got very intrigued with the story. Like I just wanted to read it ASAP, and I did. The first 20 pages made me more interested, but after the 20 pages story became very slow-paced, and started taking time to get finished. I was getting a little bored and irritated at some points.

Coming to the positive part - I love the concept that the author has come up with, I liked the life and character of Kalika, and the author has penned it down very gracefully.

Now let's talk about the weaknesses of the book, the author has failed to create authenticity in her book which leads to poor connection establishment between readers and story, except Kalika I didn’t find any character that was penned in the right manner. Although the concept was good somewhere author failed to execute it properly.

overall, I would like to say that this book wasn’t meant for me but if you want to read then you can.
