There was so much problematic about this premise…logically none of this “advise” makes sense, and I stopped reading after she was about to get in a car with a stranger to another location. And, the guy seems sweet, but good lord dude, just tell her what you want. Being friends when you are pining so completely isn’t fair to either of you.  It was all just way too cringey for me to stand.
