City of Bones by Cassandra Clare

5.0

The nostalgia is real with this book. This is probably the fourth time I've read it, and I loved it just as much as I did when I was a teenager. I had a bad feeling that I wouldn't like City of Bones after so many years, and I'm pleased that I proved myself wrong. I don't know if I would have loved it as much if I had just read it for the first time now, but that's beside the point. The main thing is that my love for Jace never died, and I'm extremely pleased about that. I'm quite proud of myself for remembering what happened throughout the book since it's been quite a few years since the last time I read it. 14-year-old me squealed the entire time I reread this book. It's fine; I think that's normal.
