I loved being back with the Blackwood brothers and Jeremiah did not disappoint! You want a morally gray man who is obsessed…he is your man! (This book does take place at the same time as the first book just for awareness.)

I was so intrigued with Jeremiah and Oakley from book 1 so of course I had to read this! I was lucky enough to Beta read this for Havoc and I even told her how obsessed I was with these brothers! Jeremiah is everything you want in a man obsessed. When he sees Oakley at a party not acting herself he takes action and basically claims her as his from then on! But our girl Oakley will not make it that easy for Jeremiah and she really makes him work for it! Despite everything Oakley had been through she was still strong and stood up for herself with Jeremiah.

Jeremiah is so unhinged and protective of Oakley he is a man who would k!ll to protect the woman he loves. I will say that there were some twists in this book I didn’t see coming and I love being surprised with a plot!

The chemistry between Oakley and Jeremiah was there from the beginning. Oakley brings out a different side to Jeremiah that only she gets to see.

I will add Penn (Jeremiah’s even more unhinged brother) was so different with Oakley that I really enjoyed seeing that side of him! This is my favorite quote of his from the book:
"Oh, what the fuck," he mutters, voice dripping with sarcasm. "Every time I suggest we burn shit down, I'm the problem. Little Miss Muffet here does it, and now we're all 'yay fire friends.' This is bullshit."
