The world building and concept is incredible, but the writing tends towards obnoxious for me. The characters are very smart and that's presented in a deliberately inaccessible way. I think it would be okay if the plot wasn't so fast paced, but a fast plot and slow words meant I found myself automatically skipping because I was so excited about what was happening and the words were taking too long. Tho I will say at the very beginning I hated the main character so much I didn't know if I could read the book, but she gets way better fairly early on
