Lights, Camera, Passion! by Isabel Lucero

4.0

I enjoyed this book more than I predicted, despite famous actors being a trope I don't often seek. These two had snark which almost made it an enemies to lovers story, but there isn't any deep seated hate, just misunderstandings. It started as the usual, with two actors physically attracted to each other, snarky comments leading to a frantic encounter, but then it gets deep. Their story almost mimics the movie and becomes so poignant. The desperation to see one another all the time, but having to rein in facial expressions and body language so nobody can make assumptions. They are exhausted hiding, they just want to be free to love and behave like any other couple. It shouldn't be so hard; but these are Hollywood actors who are scrutinised over everything. The intimacy is beautiful along with spciy scenes. I loved the interactions with both of their sisters. Even Jessica, the slightly overbearing female co-star redeemed herself in the end. Not sure if this is going to be a series, but Emerson needs a story. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
